The Laboratory develops environmentally safe systems for crop protection from injurious Arthropoda by using predominantly biological products; identifies natural resources of entomophages and acariphages, develops techniques for their protection, amplification and application in pest control. It evaluates the phytophages injuriousness thresholds and zoophages efficiency levels, influence of complex factors on number and structure dynamics in mass gregarious locust outbreaks. It sets the main criteria for their regional forecasts.
