The Laboratory develops scientific and methodical principles for the phytosanitary monitoring of beneficial and injurious organisms in agroecosystems, creates new and improves the existing methods for diagnostics, control and forecast of economically important pests including the use of sporicatching devices. It determines the levels and trends of phytosanitary situations within agroecosystems; maintains the collection of fungi isolated from crops and soil. It develops the phytomonitoring information support system. It makes operative (short-range) and seasonal (medium-range) forecasts of beneficial and injurious organisms’ appearance and development.
